ARE YOU RED?
Red
It’s who we are
Is it who you are?
Mars is a planet of adventure and hard work, sacrifice and creativity. To be RED means that what we are and what we create rest on the foundation of our values. We take these values to heart and live by them every day. What you’ve heard about us might not represent who we really are. Won’t you come see for yourself?
We Are
Resourceful
We built Mars into what it is today with our own hands. We pride ourselves on being able to use our sometimes limited resources to craft the lives and futures we imagine. The history of Mars is filled with independent and rugged spirits who built a world none could have imagined at great personal cost. This communal and skilled essence can be seen in all aspects of life on Mars, including its structures, activities, and people.
Purposeful
Martians take deep care in crafting the lives they want, both for themselves and for the wider community. This holistic and meditative approach to life often stands in contrast to that of Earth. Martians are dedicated to not revisiting the violence and strife of their past, and as such aim to live every day in alignment with their larger goals.
Intrepid
Mars was built by brave explorers and hard workers who put the welfare of the community before their own. They were rugged and stalwart, and today’s Martians live by their example. There is very little that can daunt a Martian, and they are always looking for new place to explore and new ideas to engineer.
How was the Mars story created?
Just as the establishment of Mars took a group effort, so too did the Mars story. The creation of the story - which is the dominant narrative projected back to Earth - comes from the leadership of the Martian Tourism Office in partnership with the Martian Council, together forming the Martian Tourism Board. The Board received invaluable input from the Martian Tourism Advisory Committee, which is made up of the following entities and small businesses: Sojourner Expeditions, RED Advertising Corporation, Disney on Mars, Marsflix, MNC, and the Dr. Lisa Messeri Memorial Foundation for Continued Anthropological Study of Outer Space.
Who is the Mars story group?
Being the first ever extra-terrestrial community, Mars requires a cohesive, holistic, dynamic image that can be shared with the population of Earth. In this day and age, Martian tourism is more important than ever. Expanding resources and growing opportunity for adventure and discovery means more potential for enjoyable vacations, for both Martian citizens and visiting Earth residents. The inextricable link between the small, blue marble and the smaller, red marble has always relied on an understanding of Earth’s RED cousin and the vibrant culture it contains. The Mars story serves as the public informational link to all future Mars visitors. Our goal is to make you familiar with Mars and the wonderful tourism opportunities our planet contains. We want to catch your eye and connect with your heart to ensure one thing above all: that Mars stays connected to all humans. The future of our planet and people rely on it.
